girls they confuse me confound me peruse me astound me. 

girls they adore me
I love you we just met
and yet
girls they abhore me

you’re so cold
why don’t you call
I’m getting old
I thought you liked me best of all

girls they confuse me amaze me praise me
girls they abuse me misuse me craze me

girls befriend me
then upend me

boys they bore me ignore me talk dirty to me tease me

boys don’t notice
what I’m wearing
what I’m reading
what I think
boys all they want to know is where and what I like to drink

boys don’t confuse me I see exactly what they’re for
boys I blow kisses to them
walking out the door

boys they sex me
never vex me ....        like girls do.
